The general website enquiry form and social media messages are not urgent safeguarding routes. If you cannot reach the team and are worried about a child’s safety, contact children’s services directly. Do not wait for the office to reopen.
If someone is in immediate danger, call 999. For a concern about a child in Trafford, contact Children’s First Response on 0161 912 5125 during the day. For an emergency at night or the weekend, Trafford’s Emergency Duty Team can be reached on 0161 912 2020.
For a child living in another area, contact that council’s children’s services. A child or young person can also contact Childline on 0800 1111. These external services do not depend on making an enquiry with Beyond Education.
If a concern involves a tutor, volunteer, safeguarding lead or director, make that clear when seeking help. Do not feel you must raise a safeguarding concern only with the person it concerns. You can contact Trafford Children’s First Response directly and ask about the Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) route for allegations involving adults who work with children.
The safeguarding policy should explain internal reporting, low-level concerns, allegations and whistleblowing. The policy library identifies the documents to read. If there may be an immediate risk to a child, use the urgent contacts above rather than waiting for an ordinary complaint to be resolved.
Beyond Education is on Ofsted’s Compulsory and Voluntary Childcare Registers under EY555760. This registration is separate from school registration and should not be read as a graded school inspection. The official record is linked below.
Professional referrers should check the approval scheme and scope relevant to the proposed AP placement, together with the supporting documents needed for their commissioning process.
